Majlis Daerah Perak Tengah Overview
Perak Tengah was established from the restructuring of the local government administration. The Perak Tengah District Council (Majlis Daerah Perak Tengah) was formed on 1 December 1979 i.e. upon the approval of the Government Meeting Council in its meeting No. 936 dated 20 November 1979. The Perak Tengah District Council has also shifted its administration centre from Parit to the new Administration Centre in Seri Iskandar on 14 September 1993 with the intention to provide higher quality services.
