Overview
The Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) or Majlis Perubatan Malaysia is a body corporate established under the provisions of section 3(1) of the Medical Act 1971 whilst the legal powers are derived from section 4 of the same Act.
The Council is a supreme body and vested with the authority to makes all policy decisions. Though Para 2(1) of the First Schedule, under the Medical Act 1971 requires the Council to meet at least twice in a year, however, meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month to enhance efficiency.
